Our story

A local approach to simple funeral care

Staffordshire Direct Cremation was created by an experienced family funeral team who recognised that an increasing number of families wanted a simpler and more affordable alternative to a traditional funeral.

We also believed that choosing a direct cremation should not mean losing the reassurance and accountability of a local funeral director.

Our service combines straightforward funeral options with compassionate local care. Families speak directly with our team and their loved one remains in professional care close to home.

1
Local people

Your arrangements are handled by a funeral team based within the communities we serve.

2
Local care

Your loved one is cared for within our own local funeral facilities.

3
Clear choices

We explain what is included and allow your family to make an informed decision.

Our promise

Simple funeral arrangements without compromising the standard of care

Whether your family chooses an unattended direct cremation or a fully attended funeral, your loved one will be treated with dignity, professionalism and respect throughout.

The level of ceremony may be different, but the standard of care remains the same.

“Affordable funeral care should still feel personal, local and reassuring.”

Why we created the service

A better local alternative

Direct cremation has become an increasingly popular choice, but many services are operated remotely by large national organisations. We wanted to offer families another option.

1

To Keep Care Local

Families should know where their loved one is being cared for and who is responsible for the arrangements. Our care is provided by our own local funeral team.

2

To Make Pricing Clear

We provide straightforward funeral options with clear information about what is included, allowing families to make decisions without unnecessary pressure.

3

To Offer Genuine Choice

Not every family wants the same type of funeral. Our options range from an unattended direct cremation to a traditional attended funeral.
