We are not currently selling or arranging new pre-paid funeral plans while the provider transition and approval process is completed.

We are changing our funeral plan provider
Staffordshire Direct Cremation is currently moving from its existing funeral plan arrangements to a new plan provider.
During this transition, we are temporarily not offering new pre-paid funeral plans. This allows us to complete the necessary process properly before publishing information or accepting new plan applications.
We hope to have completed the transition by the end of August 2026.
Financial Conduct Authority regulation
Since 29 July 2022, the provision and distribution of pre-paid funeral plans has been regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Funeral plan providers and businesses involved in selling or arranging plans must hold the appropriate authorisation or operate as an appointed representative of an authorised principal firm.
A careful and straightforward transition
We will keep the process clear and make further information available as soon as the new funeral plan arrangements are ready.

Can I take out a new funeral plan today?
No. We are temporarily not offering new pre-paid funeral plans while we complete the transition to our new provider and the necessary approval arrangements.
When do you expect the new plans to be available?
We hope to have completed the provider transition by the end of August 2026. This is an expected timetable and may change if additional approval or administrative work is required.
Can I register my interest now?
Yes. Registering your interest allows us to contact you once full information about the new plans is available. It does not commit you to purchasing a plan.
